Job summary

Sunway Construction Group Berhad (SunCon) in Johor seeks a Logistics Supervisor to manage site logistics for materials, equipment and personnel.

You will coordinate routes, plan site setup, and ensure safety and efficiency while leading a logistics team and collaborating with project managers.

A Diploma or Engineering degree and 2–3 years' construction logistics experience are required; strong negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of logistics experience in the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics plans for materials, equipment, and personnel.
• Coordinate internal and external logistics routes prioritizing safety and efficiency.
• Plan site setup including hoarding, gates, cranes, site maintenance and temporary facilities.
• Manage the flow of goods and storage; collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and project teams.
• Lead logistics teams, onboarding and training new hires; liaise with project managers and stakeholders.

Job description

Develop and implement logistics plans to ensure smooth movement of materials, equipment, and personnel.

Coordinate internal and external logistics routes, focusing on safety and efficiency.

Plan site setup, including hoarding, gates, cranes, site maintenance and temporary facilities.

2. Supply Chain Management

Manage the flow of goods and resources, ensuring timely delivery and storage.

Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and project teams to meet program needs.

3. Safety and Compliance

Ensure all logistics activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.

4. Operational Management

Oversee site operations and storage areas, optimizing space and processes.

Manage traffic flow and cleanliness of road networks around the site.

Organize site inductions and maintain records securely.

5. Leadership and Communication

Lead logistics teams, including onboarding and training new hires.

Act as the point of contact for logistics-related issues and liaise with project managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any related field.

Minimum 2-3 years of experiences in logistics roles within the construction industry.

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations.
