Job summary

Intel is seeking a Data Scientist for the Global Logistics (GLO) Organization in Penang, Malaysia. The role focuses on delivering analytics and data solutions within the supply chain to improve cross-border logistics and tariff processes.

The candidate should have 1-2 years of supply chain experience, strong data mining and visualization skills with Excel, SQL, Access, Python and Power BI, and be capable of building predictive models and AI-based solutions for decision support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science / Machine Learning or Supply Chain Management.
• 1-2 years of supply chain experience in transportation and/or warehousing.
• Strong analytical and data mining skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, Access, Python and Power BI.
• Proficiency with predictive modeling, statistics and machine learning to extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) and analytics tools such as HANA and Hadoop.

Responsibilities

• Development of advanced analytics and AI solutions for Logistics Cross Border Optimization COE.
• Tariff assessment focusing on pre-entry and post-entry reviews.
• Analyzing customs data and HTS data into actionable insights through data modeling and automation.
