A leading multinational company in industrial minerals is seeking a Logistics Assistant in Perak. The role involves managing logistics processes, ensuring documentation accuracy, and supporting both domestic and export functions. The ideal candidate will have a diploma and at least 3 years of logistics experience, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Assist day-to-day activities related to logistic processes, checking adequate levels of stock together with operation team, defining optimal transportation routes, etc. Working in team, do assign tasks by ensuring the document accuracy and availability, respond to complex and escalated enquiries.
Logistics Activities
Responsible for daily domestic’s delivery planning and transports arrangement.
Liaising and monitoring transporters performances related to delivery.
Documentations accuracy and availability.
To maintain the logistics information in the domestic & export sales order book.
Compile Logistics documents for internal circulation and filling.
Ensure internal documents (Delivery order and COA) are matched up.
Preparing/arranging documents I.e. loading checklist, truck inspection checklist, COA, product batch number listing & export containers & seals for domestic & export’s delivery.
Perform delivery order confirmation (PGI) in SAP.
To prepare and update the daily inventory report.
To support domestic and export logistics functions during when necessary and as backup during emergencies.
Support simplification and standardization of processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies.
Participate in implementing group and regional Supply Chain Management policies.
Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement.
Act as logistics representative for quality initiatives both internally and externally of Omya.
QSHE Compliance
Maintain safe working conditions and practices to achieve a zero (0) lost time injury record within the area of responsibility.
Perform work duties in accordance with Omya Quality Systems Manual procedures & company policy, and ensure team follow all procedures and policies.
Job Requirement:
Diploma holder or equivalent in any discipline.
3 years Logistics execution experience
Prior manufacturing, in a fast-paced team environment.
Understand planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Strong time management and planning skills.
Ability to communicate well at all levels of the business both internally and externally.
Problem solving skill, determination to persist through challenges.
Ability to contribute and work in teams.
Excellent command of both oral and written local language and English are required.
Good command of both oral and written additional language is beneficial.
