Job description

Logistic Supervisor

(for a market leader in industrial project development - data center etc)

Logistics Planning & Coordination:

• Assist Logistic Manager to develop and implement logistics strategies for the transportation, storage, and delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure materials arrive on time.
• Assist Logistic Manager to create and maintain detailed project schedules, outlining delivery dates, material handling needs, and storage requirements.

Material & Equipment Management:

• Oversee the unloading, storage, and organization of materials and equipment at the job site to ensure easy access and prevent damage.
• Monitor inventory levels of critical materials and reorder supplies as needed (if required).

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure that all logistics activities comply with safety regulations and best practices, including material handling and transportation.
• Supervise the safe operation of equipment, such as forklifts or cranes, used for moving materials.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols on the job site to reduce accidents and delays.

Communication & Reporting:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all logistics-related inquiries between the construction team, suppliers, and external contractors.
• Provide regular updates on the status of material deliveries, inventory, and site readiness.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, equipment usage, and materials tracking for reporting purposes.

Problem Solving:

• Assist Logistic Manager to address and resolve logistical challenges such as delays, shortages, and transportation issues.
• Proactively identify potential logistical issues and assist Logistic Manager to develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.

Education:

• Technical Certification/ Diploma/ Degree in Engineering discipline

Working Experience:

• More than 1 year of experience in construction field. (Logistic Supervisor)
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in construction field. (Logistic Coordinator)

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

• Possess site experience / exposure
• Able to understand construction drawings
