Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate all shipping activities, such as shipping documentation and shipment schedules.
- Responsible for import and export customs declarations, document review, and tariff declaration to ensure compliance with local customs regulations.
- Ensure that all aspects of import/export freight are managed efficiently and effectively to meet customer requirements.
- Follow up closely on shipping tasks, control freight costs, and ensure all documents are updated on time.
- Oversee day-to-day shipping operations, including import, export, customs clearance, and maintenance of related documents.
- Work with departmental users and government agencies to meet regulatory compliance.
- Obtain and follow up on shipment schedules and clearance to ensure timely delivery.
- Update and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance.
- Manage MITI’s trade agreements (Form D, E, etc.) for relevant countries.
- Apply for and obtain approvals for Chamber of Commerce certificates and Certificates of Origin.
- Prepare and submit monthly and yearly LMW reports to customs on time.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and customs management, familiar with import/export operations, customs declarations, certificates of origin, and licensing.
- Experience in multinational companies and manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of forwarding processes, shipping systems, and operations.
- Familiarity with Malaysian customs policies, regulations, and international trade.
- Experience handling LMW reports and liaising with Customs departments.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and documentation procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, and English.
