Mandarin speaking is required (work with China counterpart).

Job Responsibilities:

1. Plan, organize, and coordinate all shipping activities, such as shipping documentation and shipment schedules.
2. Responsible for import and export customs declarations, document review, and tariff declaration to ensure compliance with local customs regulations.
3. Ensure that all aspects of import/export freight are managed efficiently and effectively to meet customer requirements.
4. Follow up closely on shipping tasks, control freight costs, and ensure all documents are updated on time.
5. Oversee day-to-day shipping operations, including import, export, customs clearance, and maintenance of related documents.
6. Work with departmental users and government agencies to meet regulatory compliance.
7. Obtain and follow up on shipment schedules and clearance to ensure timely delivery.
8. Update and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance.
9. Manage MITI’s trade agreements (Form D, E, etc.) for relevant countries.
10. Apply for and obtain approvals for Chamber of Commerce certificates and Certificates of Origin.
11. Prepare and submit monthly and yearly LMW reports to customs on time.
12. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management as necessary.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is an advantage.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and customs management, familiar with import/export operations, customs declarations, certificates of origin, and licensing.
3. Experience in multinational companies and manufacturing industries is preferred.
4. Knowledge of forwarding processes, shipping systems, and operations.
5. Familiarity with Malaysian customs policies, regulations, and international trade.
6. Experience handling LMW reports and liaising with Customs departments.
7. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and documentation procedures.
8. Strong interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills.
9. Proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, and English.
