Ideal Candidate

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage and lead litigation cases from start to finish.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, mediation, and negotiations.
• Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and briefs.
• Provide legal counsel and develop strategies tailored to client needs.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and stay updated on legal developments in Malaysia.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with other lawyers and team members to optimize case outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.

The Profile

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree with current admission to the Malaysian Bar.
• Minimum of [4+] years of proven experience in litigation, preferably within civil or commercial law.
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian court procedures, civil law, and evidence rules.
• Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, with a strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Proficiency in case management and the ability to handle multiple high-priority cases.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and a results-driven approach.
• Good attitude, self motivated, responsible, willing to learn, able to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualities:

• Demonstrated success in handling complex or high-profile cases.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
• Client-focused with a track record of building long-lasting relationships.

Our client is a dynamic legal firm incepted in August 1999 and was reconstituted in September 2002. The firm currently consists of 4 partners, 8 legal associates and 20 other paralegal supporting staff.
