Job summary

United Overseas Bank Innovation Hub 2 in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Linux/UNIX security engineer to strengthen our bank-wide security posture. You will implement hardening, manage privileged access, and collaborate with Development teams.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, a degree in engineering/CS/IT/Cyber Security, and familiarity with Chef and Splunk. You will participate in on-call rotations and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in engineering/CS/IT/Cyber Security from a recognized institution.
• 5+ years of Linux/UNIX security administration experience.
• Good communication and documentation skills; familiarity with Chef and Splunk is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux/UNIX system security hardening and access control.
• Oversee password management for privileged accounts (CyberArk).
• Perform change requests and server takeover for Linux/UNIX.
• Collaborate with developers and third parties to secure systems.
• Lead on-call duties and incident response when required.
• Audit and document security standards and processes.
