Job summary

Omens Studios in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Light/Render/Comp Artist to handle lighting, rendering and compositing across productions. You will collaborate with the Light/Render/Comp Lead and contribute from pre-visualization through final output, optimizing complex scenes under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Light/Render/Comp for animated TV series and short films.
• Experience in feature films and live action is a plus.
• Proficient in Maya, Redshift, After Effects, Unreal Engine.
• Experience with Nuke and Blender is a plus.
• Working understanding of TV animated series production/post-production techniques in a production environment.
• Ability to problem-solve and work within tight deadlines.

As a Light/Render/Comp Artist, you will be responsible for all lighting, rendering and compositing requirements in the productions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Light/Render/Comp Lead to deliver final output that aligns with the director's vision for the production.
• Engage at every stage of production, including pre-visualization of mood and style, complicated sequences, look development, and R&D.
• Complete assigned shots based on monthly quota requirements while meeting the art direction provided by the director.
• Optimize and troubleshoot lighting and rendering problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide technical and creative solutions for challenging shots during production.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Light/Render/Comp including experience in animated TV series and short films.
• Additional experience in feature films and live action is a plus.
• Working knowledge of workflows for modelling, texturing, shading, lighting, compositing, and rendering.
• Ability to plan and execute complex 3D lighting scenes, including working with layers and passes, creating complex compositions, and optimizing scenes and renders.
• Proficient in Maya, Redshift, After Effects, Unreal Engine.
• Experience with Nuke and Blender is a plus.
• Working understanding of TV animated series production/post-production techniques in a production environment.
• Ability to problem-solve and work within tight deadlines.
