Job summary

Unison Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Life400 Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications within the IBM i / AS400 environment.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions using RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2/400, while participating in system integration and data migration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years' experience in IBM i/AS400 environments.
• Strong Life400 development, RPG/RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2/400 expertise.
• Experience with system integration and enterprise workflows.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Life400 Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications within the IBM i / AS400 environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in RPG development, system integration, and business process enhancement, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications in the Life400 / AS400 environment.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and support RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2-based applications.
• Perform system enhancements, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and cross-functional teams to support ongoing operational needs.
• Participate in system integration, data migration, and application modernisation initiatives.
• Ensure application reliability, security, and compliance with organisational standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and support manuals.

Required Skills & Qualifications
