Position: Life Science Consultant, Data Migration Expert - Adopt Enablement
Location: Remote (Europe / LACAN), On-site (Kuala Lumpur - Asia)
Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract
Mission:
The Data Migration Expert plays a critical role in the adoption enablement workstream of a large-scale enterprise transformation initiative within a global life sciences organization. This role ensures that functional business data is correctly transformed, validated, and delivered to support deployment readiness and adoption. The expert will contribute to data enablement strategies, closely supporting change management, training, and business process leads to guarantee a successful go-live.
Key Accountabilities:
- Execute and oversee data migration tasks for a designated functional area (Finance/Controlling, Material Management, Inventory/Warehouse, etc.).
- Coordinate end-to-end data mapping, cleansing, enrichment, transformation, and validation.
- Ensure that migrated data supports newly designed processes and business readiness criteria.
- Participate in mock loads, cutover planning, and hypercare support for deployment waves.
- Collaborate with local business stakeholders and technical teams to resolve data quality and ownership issues.
- Track progress against data migration timelines and readiness milestones; raise risks proactively.
- Maintain clear documentation for data definitions, rules, mapping logic, and exceptions.
- Support adoption and change enablement activities, ensuring data inputs align with training and testing efforts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of migration methodologies and tools.
Key Qualification
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Language
- Fluent in English (oral and written) is a requirement.
- Additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Bahasa, or Mandarin) are a plus, depending on regional role.
Work experience
- 5+ years of experience in SAP data migration roles, preferably within large-scale transformation or deployment programs.
- Experience working in a GxP or regulated environment is preferred.

- Functional SAP Expertise - Deep understanding of one or more SAP modules (FIN/COM, MM, BM/IM/WM) from both business and technical perspectives.
- Data Quality & Validation - Proven ability to identify, cleanse, validate, and reconcile large volumes of business data.
- Documentation & Governance - Strong attention to detail and experience in producing clear, audit-ready documentation.
- Collaboration & Communication - Skilled at working in cross-functional, multicultural teams across global time zones.
- Adaptability - Comfortable working in fast-paced transformation environments, adjusting to change, and meeting evolving business needs.
- Change Enablement Alignment - Understands the role of data in process adoption and change readiness.
