Job summary

Tarc invites applications for a Chargeman position at our Kuala Lumpur and Penang campuses. The successful candidate will inspect, repair, maintain and upgrade electrical equipment including substations, and troubleshoot high voltage 11kV systems to ensure compliance with regulations.

They will monitor substations, generators, switchboards and distribution boards, respond to breakdowns, and supervise technicians, wiremen, vendors and contractors while maintaining safety and efficiency across

The successful candidate will be responsible to perform inspection, repair, maintenance and upgrading on equipment related to utilities such as electric substation and also troubleshooting high voltage (11KV) equipment and to ensure that all the electrical systems and installations in the University are complied with all relevant bylaws and regulations. The candidate will also be responsible to check and maintain all substations, generators, switchboards and distribution boards; monitor the incoming power supply, responding to electrical & mechanical breakdowns and performing troubleshooting and as and when necessary. The candidate is expected to manage and supervise technicians, wiremen, vendors and contractors.
