Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Specialist/Executive to support our Singapore office headquarters from our Kuala Lumpur office. The successful candidate will assist our legal team with various administrative and legal tasks, including corporate secretarial duties, legal research, contract review, document preparation, and case management. A background in law (minimum law diploma) is required. Proficiency in Chinese is a bonus.

Please note that this is an in-house role. You will be engaged under a service agreement managed directly by the respective department. It will be a 1-year temporary assignment (6+6 months).

In this Role, you’ll get to
  1. Draft, maintain, and update corporate records, including minutes, resolutions, and other official documents.
  2. Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate documents with regulatory bodies.
  3. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures in Singapore and SEA offices.
  4. Handle director changes, including updating records and communicating with relevant authorities.
  5. Review and draft board resolutions to support corporate decision-making.
  6. Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on various topics to support the legal team in Singapore. Summarize findings and provide relevant legal precedents and case laws.
  7. Contract Review: Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
  8. Case Management: Assist in managing case files, organizing and maintaining documents, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with external counsel and stakeholders.
  9. Compliance and Regulatory Support: Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  10. Collaboration with overseas teams: Work closely with regional offices to ensure alignment and facilitate communication.
What you'll Need to Succeed
  • Legal Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, corporate secretary, or in a similar legal support role. Experience with a global portfolio is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Singaporean and Malaysian legal systems and procedures. Knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
