Job Title: Junior Company Secretary
Location: Setapak, Kuala Lumpur

Role Summary:
The Junior Company Secretary will support the company secretarial team in handling statutory compliance, corporate governance, and administrative duties for a portfolio of client companies. The role involves preparing statutory documents, maintaining company records, and ensuring timely filings with regulatory bodies in accordance with the Companies Act 2016 and related requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and filing statutory documents with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
Maintain and update company statutory records including registers, minutes, and resolutions.
Prepare board resolutions, minutes of meetings, and other secretarial documents.
Liaise with clients, auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities on secretarial matters.
Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory filing deadlines.
Perform name searches, incorporation of new companies, and business registrations.
Assist in the preparation of annual returns and ensure timely submission.
Provide support in drafting client correspondence and basic advisory on secretarial practices.
Maintain proper filing and documentation for secretarial records.
Support senior company secretary in daily administrative and operational tasks.
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Law, Corporate Administration, or related field.
At least 1 year of working experience in a company secretarial or corporate compliance environment.
Pursuing or interested in pursuing ICSA/MAICSA qualification is an advantage.
Familiar with the Companies Act 2016 and related statutory requirements.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and secretarial software (if any).
A team player with a proactive and responsible work attitude.
