Job description

1. Minimum Bachelor's Degree of Laws (LLB) (Honours) from a recognised university.
2. Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or risk management environment, preferably with law firm experience.
3. Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
4. Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate and litigation fields.
5. Knowledge and experience in MACCA, AML / CFT, and PDPA compliance.

Job Scope:

1. Reporting to the HOD or General Manager.
2. Conduct legal drafting and review of commercial agreements and related documents to protect the company's interests.
3. Ensure compliance with licenses from relevant government agencies concerning internal operations, business activities, and legal documents.
4. Interface with external counsel on contractual, commercial, and litigation matters.
5. Review and update internal SOPs and policies; design internal governance strategies and monitor compliance.
6. Research and assess risk factors related to business decisions and operations; clarify legal language for relevant departments.
7. Communicate and negotiate with external parties, including regulators and advisors, to build trust and manage complex matters.
8. Stay updated on legislative changes; conduct seminars and training for employees on risk management and legislative updates.
9. Execute assignments responsibly, timely, with integrity and due diligence; prepare progress reports and maintain records.
10. Oversee and manage legal, risk, and internal audit teams for relevant projects.
11. Analyze and evaluate from a management perspective.
