Job description

Legal Executive / Senior Executive (Corporate Head Office)

Proactively monitor regulatory risks to identify legal and/or operational events or risks that could threaten the operations of the business divisions and/or the Group.

Interpret and advise on the application of relevant Malaysian laws and applicable legislation.

Assist in implementing internal policies and compliance programs.

Vet, draft, and review various agreements/documents for the Group, liaising with external solicitors and departments/divisions as needed.

Collaborate with the Secretarial Department in preparing Bursa and quarterly announcements, related party transaction documents, agendas, and minutes for Board and Committee meetings.

Support the Secretarial Department in preparing company resolutions for ad hoc transactions across the Group.

Assist with legal matters related to the incorporation of foreign business divisions, including litigation, investigations, mergers, acquisitions, and contracts.

Provide recommendations on external legal engagements and participate in meetings with clients and partners.

Manage intellectual property matters, ensuring compliance with laws.

Maintain legal compliance records and document legal opinions and positions.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law; Malaysian Bar admission or LPC is advantageous.

2 to 4 years of experience in litigation or commercial law.

Strong presence and professionalism, with ownership of projects and confidence in presenting legal positions.

Experience in a fast-paced legal environment.

Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Proven leadership and collaboration across functions.

High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Position based at Menara Hap Seng, KL (full-time, on-site).
