Job description

We are looking for a dedicated Legal Executive to support Unimed Sdn Bhd’s legal and compliance operations, especially in the pharmaceutical industry. The Legal Executive will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance, supporting government and private contracts, managing agreements and advising the company on all regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review and advise on government and private sector contracts.

Ensure all contracts and agreements comply with the latest Malaysian pharmaceutical laws and regulations.

Track and notify management of expiring contracts, licenses and agreements.

Provide legal advice and support on HR and office staff issues, including employment law compliance.

Assist in handling contractual disputes with vendors or partners, especially in cases of late payments or breaches.

Draft formal legal notices to external parties in cases of contract violations.

Ensure that the company always remains updated with current legal requirements related to pharmaceuticals, trade and corporate governance. Liaise with external legal firms and government bodies when required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution.

Called to the Malaysian Bar (preferred 3-5 years’ experience).

Interest or experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is highly preferred.

Familiarity with Malaysian pharma laws and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NPRA, MOH guidelines,Poison Act, Dangerous Drugs Act etc.).

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).

Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.

Fresh graduates with strong interest in pharma law and compliance are welcome to apply.
