Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Executive to join our Group Legal & Compliance team. This role offers a competitive salary and the potential for a hybrid work arrangement (to be discussed during the interview).

This position will work closely with and support the Group’s in-house Legal Team based in Singapore, while focusing primarily on contract review, licensing compliance, and legal support for operations in Malaysia. Ideal for candidates with 3–5 years of experience in legal or contract-related roles, especially within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and draft sales, procurement, and construction contracts in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support contract risk assessments and negotiations.
  • Liaise with external authorities and licensing bodies (e.g. DOE, BOMBA, CIDB, local councils) for regulatory and certification matters.
  • Assist with corporate governance tasks such as board resolutions, company secretarial filings, and statutory compliance.
  • Monitor internal compliance activities, including license renewals, third-party risk, and contract tracking.
  • Support litigation and dispute matters where needed, including coordination with external legal counsel.
  • Manage legal administrative work such as invoice processing, document filing, and record-keeping using SAP.

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent qualification.
  • 3–5 years of working experience in legal, contracts, or compliance roles — preferably in an in-house or engineering/construction environment.
  • Solid experience in reviewing and managing commercial or procurement contracts.
  • Experience in liaising with government/regulatory bodies is an advantage.
  • Independent, well-organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise systems is an added advantage.
