Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Executive to support our corporate and commercial legal functions. This role requires a strong understanding of contract law, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal departments, external lawyers, and relevant authorities to ensure business operations comply with applicable laws and protect the company’s interests.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Draft, review, and negotiate business agreements to ensure legal compliance and safeguard the company’s interests.
2. Manage all correspondence with internal and external parties to protect the company’s position.
3. Coordinate with external lawyers and auditors on civil cases, agreements, and ensure compliance with tax and audit requirements.
4. Conduct compliance checks to mitigate risks associated with partnerships and sponsorships.
5. Collaborate with law enforcement and insurance agencies to support effective resolution of issues.
6. Liaise with insurance brokers and relevant stakeholders to facilitate and process insurance claims.
7. Manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio and address trademark and social media issues to ensure legal compliance and protect brand reputation.
8. Assist in developing and implementing internal policies and procedures to manage legal risks and safeguard company assets.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an in-house Legal Executive.
3. Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law, including contract review and regulatory compliance.
4. Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
6. Willingness to work in the Hicom Industrial Area, Shah Alam.
