An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Legal Executive to join their dynamic team. This role involves handling diverse legal tasks, including drafting and vetting agreements, managing litigation, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Report to the Head of Legal Department (HOD) and/or directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer and/or Executive Directors of the Company's Group.
Handle all legal-related tasks of the Company's Group (including the company's holding company(ies), subsidiaries, related companies, associated entities, etc.) as instructed by the HOD.
Draft and/or vet all forms of agreements including but not limited to memorandum of agreements, joint venture agreements, sale and purchase agreements, service agreements, tenancy agreements, lease agreements, terms of engagement, memorandum of understanding, deeds, undertakings, merger & acquisition agreements, EPCC agreements, etc., concerning various transactions of the Group.
Vet all forms of correspondences, agreements, and contracts on a case-by-case basis upon request from other departments and approved by the HOD.
Identify, manage, and mitigate legal risk issues across the Company's Group.
Ensure compliance with legislation, regulation, and the requirements of professional bodies and other organizations.
Ensure proper execution and management of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Stay updated on commercial law changes and prepare write-ups/notes on topical issues for use across the Company's Group.
Prepare legal reports and assist in the preparation of business proposals for the Executive Directors of the Company's Group.
Manage and oversee litigation, arbitration, and certain legal matters handled by external counsels, and liaise with them as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company's Group and/or HOD from time to time.
