Job description

Role Summary:

This role supports the Legal Department in delivering a broad range of legal services and advice to various business units and stakeholders. The incumbent provides timely, cost-effective, and practical legal assistance to ensure the company's operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  1. Provide proactive, professional, and competent legal advice across various business and operational matters.
  2. Review, draft, and assist in negotiating contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  3. Conduct legal research and analysis relevant to the business.
  4. Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and legal developments impacting the business.
  5. Liaise with external legal counsel on specific assignments or litigation.
  6. Support compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and legal obligations.
  7. Prepare legal documentation, reports, memos, and presentations.
  8. Maintain legal files and records.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) with strong academic achievements.
  • Bar qualification from a Commonwealth jurisdiction or completed Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm; in-house experience is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Sound judgment, strategic thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Professional, ethical, and capable of maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
