- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including letters of intent, teaming agreements, service agreements, tender-related agreements, commercial agreements.
- Provide legal advise on local and cross-border transactions and tender participation requirements.
- Assist in structuring and reviewing business arrangements and partnerships to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage and monitor ongoing litigation and potential disputes involving the Group.
- Liaise with external legal counsels and provide updates for management.
- Support internal stakeholders in evaluating legal risks and resolution strategies.
Compliance:
- Assist in developing and reviewing internal legal policies, contract templates and standard operating procedures.
- Support compliance with anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and data protection laws.
Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate with business units and other support functions on contractual and regulatory matters.
- Assist in awareness on legal risk and compliance requirements where needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) and admission as an Advocate & Solicitor in Malaysia is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in legal practice or in-house legal department, ideally in a corporate/ commercial setting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess legal risks and provide business focused solutions.
- Self motivated and proactive, with the ability to work under pressure while effectively managing multiple priorities.
- Candidates with legal experience in multinational companies, foreign-invested enterprises, law firms or consulting firms are preferred.
- Excellent contract drafting, review and negotiation skills, able to identify legal risks and provide solutions.
- Knowledge of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. Mandarin will be an added advantage for Chinese speaking Clients
