Responsibilities

• Advise, identify, and provide advice in respect of legal issues for the business activities of the Group to ensure that the rights and interests of the organization are well protected, legal risks are mitigated, and compliance with relevant laws is maintained.
• Advise on and participate in dispute resolution and processes, manage litigious matters with external lawyers, and oversee litigation or arbitration processes.
• Manage matters with regulators and authorities, providing legal guidance and support.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage legal documentation for commercial transactions, including NDAs, tenancy agreements, sales and purchase agreements, MOUs, and letters of offer.
• Analyze and advise on laws and various legal matters related to commercial, litigation, and corporate areas, proposing solutions to mitigate legal risks.
• Coordinate with external counsel across Malaysia and other jurisdictions such as Singapore, Philippines, and Hong Kong.
• Collaborate with group legal and business stakeholders on various assignments and projects.
• Conduct legal research on relevant legal areas affecting the group and its businesses.
• Address and resolve legal issues as they arise, supporting other departments as needed.

Job Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor of Law (LLB) (Hons).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of legal functions including compliance, corporate, litigation, commercial, banking, and property matters.
• Experience with laws such as Companies Act 2016 and PDPA 2010, and compliance with regulators like MCMC.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent legal analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• A team player, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
