An established industry player is seeking a skilled legal professional to provide expert advice on various legal topics, particularly in corporate law and compliance management. This role involves drafting and managing commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and advising senior management on legal implications of strategic decisions. Provide accurate, relevant and timely advice to the organization on variety of legal topics.
Draft, review, negotiate and manage various commercial contracts and agreements (ideally, with experience and expertise in commercial, corporate, and SEDA (Sustainable Energy Development Authority) regulation practices).
Ensure that all business contracts and agreements are in compliance with applicable laws, protecting the company’s interests and minimizing legal risks.
Experience in critical laws and/or compliance management, particularly in relevant legal areas such as oil, gas, or the energy industry.
Advise business teams on contract terms, risks, and impacts.
Provide precise legal guidance on issues that impact the organization and collaborating with third parties, including regulators and external counsel, as needed.
Advise and counsel the company’s senior management on the legal implications of strategic decisions and business activities.
Manage post-contract governance and ensuring compliance with regulatory norms.

LLB (Hons)/Bachelor of Laws degree from universities/institutions recognized by the government of Malaysia.
Qualified to practice as a lawyer in Malaysia, with Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) gained from working in law firms or in-house legal departments, including completion of pupillage.
Ideally called to the Malaysian Bar or any other Commonwealth countries.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in corporate law, with experience managing procurement portfolios in leadership or mid-managerial positions.
High level of proficiency in English language; basic proficiency in Mandarin and Bahasa Malay.
Salary: RM 9,500-RM11,000/month for 2-5 years of experiences.
