About the role

Indochina Capital SDN. BHD' is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic, high-quality, and commercially focused legal services to support the company's growth and operational objectives. This full-time position is based in Kuala Lumpur.

What you'll be doing

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements and legal instruments to support the company's strategic initiatives

Handle legal affairs, compliance, and risk control matters related to the company’s daily operations and management; manage various legal, compliance, and risk control tasks.

Conduct legal reviews of the company’s rules, regulations, and products; review contracts, draft standard contracts, and be responsible for the review, revision, and filing of major company contracts; provide legal opinions on various contracts.

Provide legal support for company operations and handle all types of disputes and legal matters involving the company.

Participate in business negotiations, design cooperation models, draft legal documents, and provide legal risk assessments and warnings for business lines.

Complete other tasks assigned by leadership.

What we're looking for

Degree in law or a related field.

Proficient in both Chinese and English, especially legal English

Strong execution, stress management, and teamwork skills

Diligent, detail-oriented, proactive, and highly responsible

Capable of independently handling legal matters and risk control related to company operations; candidates with experience in business negotiations and contract drafting are preferred.

Requires business trips: Hong Kong, Japan, Southeast Asia.
