Job description

Company Overview:
A dynamic and growing organization under a China-based group, specializing in the extraction and production of stone and sand from raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive legal and commercial support to three associated companies within the group.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the organization’s interests.
3. Act as the key liaison with the Legal Manager, delivering timely and practical legal advice aligned with Malaysian regulations.
4. Ensure the business operations of two sister companies comply fully with local laws and industry regulations.
5. Proactively monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary compliance actions to mitigate legal risks.
6. Support internal teams on legal matters relating to operations, procurement, projects, and corporate governance.
7. Assist in dispute resolution, handling of legal claims, and coordination with external counsel when necessary.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in reading and writing Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with the China-based team.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in a corporate legal role.
• Prior experience providing legal support within the manufacturing, industrial, or construction sectors is highly preferred.
• Willing to travel between Seremban and Semenyih.
• Strong command of Malaysian laws, regulations, and commercial practices.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• High level of adaptability, problem-solving capability, and business acumen.
