Qualifications

Currently, Lien Dak office is located at Damansara Utama. We expect to move to our new office building at Shah Alam, Glenmarie in the 3rd/4th quarter of Year 2025.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in providing legal advice to internal stakeholders on property development, construction law, real estate transactions, and general commercial matters.

Conduct legal research and monitor updates in laws and regulations affecting the company’s operations.

Support in identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies.

2. Contract Management

Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of various agreements including construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, PAM), land sale and purchase agreements, leases, consultancy agreements, and NDAs.

Help maintain and update the company’s contract templates and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

3. Regulatory Compliance

Support compliance with relevant laws and regulations such as the Strata Titles Act, National Land Code, and environmental regulations.

Liaise with relevant authorities and consultants under the supervision of senior legal counsel.

Assist in managing legal disputes related to land, construction, or regulatory issues.

Coordinate with external counsel for litigation and arbitration matters and help prepare required documentation.

Participate in due diligence exercises and risk assessments for property acquisitions and joint ventures.

Assist in implementing legal risk mitigation plans in collaboration with other departments.

6. Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a legal point of contact for internal departments, consultants, contractors, and buyers.

Help prepare training materials and conduct internal briefings on legal and compliance matters.

7. General Legal Support

Support company secretarial work and compliance with corporate governance requirements.

Assist in the protection and management of the company’s intellectual property.

Perform other legal-related tasks as assigned by the Management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; must be a qualified legal practitioner.

Minimum of 3–5 years of working experience in legal practice or in-house legal department, preferably in the property or construction industry.

Strong legal drafting, research, and communication skills.

Proficient in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Highly organized, independent, and able to handle confidential matters with discretion.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
