A leading recruitment company is seeking a Legal Counsel to support legal operations across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Laws, experience in corporate and litigation matters, and excellent communication skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse legal challenges in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking Legal Counsel to support the company’s legal operations across multiple jurisdictions. This role requires a proactive individual with strong legal acumen, particularly in corporate and litigation matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, legal documents, and company policies.
Manage internal governance documentation, including memos, policies, and regulatory submissions.
Oversee and safeguard the company’s global IP portfolio, including trademarks.
Conduct legal due diligence for international expansions, joint ventures, and strategic initiatives.
Monitor regulatory developments and ensure business compliance.
Provide legal support across corporate, commercial, litigation, and cross-border transactions.
Liaise with external legal counsel and internal departments to align legal support with business goals.
Advise business units in real estate, PropTech, hospitality, valuation, and design sectors.
Contribute to legal input on special projects and ad-hoc assignments.
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognised institution; must be called to the Malaysian Bar.
Minimum 2 years of post-qualified experience in a legal firm or in-house legal department.
Strong experience in litigation and corporate law.
Excellent command of English, Malay, and Mandarin (fluency in Mandarin is essential for handling Chinese legal documents and stakeholder communication).
Strong critical thinking, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
