A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a Legal Advisor to address complex legal matters and provide guidance on corporate law. The ideal candidate will possess a law degree and have 4-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Responsibilities include drafting legal documents, analyzing laws, and advising management on compliance. This position requires strong critical thinking and organization skills as you ensure the company operates within legal frameworks while managing sensitive information.
To create an organizational approach towards legal matters including conducting legal analysis and researching legal matters.
To prevent, navigate, research ana resolve legal disputes through the analysis of relevant laws, argument development, evidence collection, and legal representation. Also, to advise management on relevant legal issues.
To assist, review, audit and oversee the preparation and finalization of all legal documents and to identify the most important issues that need to be sorted out on priority basis.
To draft, review, complete, and file memorandum, lawsuits, appeals, agreement, contracts, statements, deeds, trademark etc.
To be actively involved in preparing and drafting of different acts and legal submissions and drafting the authoritative relevant legal opinions.
To execute necessary precautions and measures with a specific end goal to shield the organization from any legal risks.
To prepare current and future strategies to ensure proper legal implementation.
To ensure all business processes, strategies, and actions comply with all relevant local, state, in federal, and international laws.
To maintain the organization’s legal files and ensure that the working practices are in accordance with its policies and regulations.
To provide high-level administrative support, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence for executives.
To prepare reports, presentations, and documentation required for legal and executive meetings.
To provide advise on Credit Financing related regulatory and ensure all business processes comply with authorities.
To handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
To organize and maintain legal and executive records, ensuring proper documentation and accessibility.
To perform any other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree Law or relevant field from reputed law school.
Proven work experience as a Legal Advisor / Legal Counsel or a similar position in a reputed legal firm or industry with 4 to 5 years’ experience.
Excellent knowledge of all the corporate law governing the state (business law, securities law, licensing, tax law, accounting, etc.) and keep updated with all the legal laws and should be able to apply them in the given situation.
Knowledge of Credit Policies, Debt Collection Laws and Credit Financing will be an added advantage
Good interpersonal communications skills in both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently, result-oriented & self-motivated.
Team oriented, proactive, flexible, and responsive to change.
Highly organized, meticulous, and excellent critical thinking.
Organizing and coordination skills.
