About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Legal Clerk to manage and oversee legal and banking documentation processes. The role involves handling loan securitization matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing administrative support for seamless office operations. If you have experience in conveyancing or the legal sector and are detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, this role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handle and complete banking documentation and loan securitisation matters (such as Adjudication for Stamp Duty, Perfection of Charge, Deed of Assignment, Discharge of Charge, Deed of Receipt & Reassignment, and Caveats) from initial stage until completion.
  2. Manage and monitor the progress of files, ensuring deadlines are met.
  3. Review all legal and corporate documents carefully to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  4. Assist in daily administrative tasks, including file safekeeping, maintaining inventories, preparing status reports, and implementing management systems.
  5. Follow up on operational matters to ensure all actions are completed by relevant parties.
  6. Support the day-to-day operations of the office through administrative tasks.
  7. Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as required.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Diploma or SPM qualification.
  2. At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in conveyancing.
  3. Experience in the legal sector is an advantage.
  4. Willingness to learn.
  5. Keen attention to detail and meticulousness.
  6. Excellent time management, organizational, and administrative skills.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  8. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  9. Independent, resourceful, and possessing good judgment.
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure and meet deadlines.
  11. Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
  12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
