Our client, a reputable mid-tier law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Associate/Senior Associate to join their Conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in handling a broad spectrum of property transactions and experience leading a conveyancing team.

About the job
  • Manage and oversee end-to-end conveyancing matters including sub-sale, developer projects, refinancing, auction purchases, and perfection of transfer and charge.
  • Draft, review, and advise on Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPA), loan documentation, and related legal instruments.
  • Liaise with clients, bankers, developers, government authorities (e.g., land offices, local councils), and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of transactions.
  • Provide legal advice on property law, National Land Code matters, and relevant housing and strata regulations.
  • Lead and mentor junior lawyers and conveyancing clerks, including file management and quality assurance.
  • Monitor timelines and deadlines to ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Attend signing appointments and client briefings as required.
About the requirements
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution and admission to the Malaysian Bar.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in conveyancing practice.
