McDonald’s Malaysia is seeking a contract management and legal support specialist to advise internal departments on tenancy, vendor, supply agreements and MOUs.
You will draft, review, negotiate and attend internal/external meetings to finalize documents, manage the contracts database, and ensure governance. The role also covers compliance, litigation support and IP matters, liaising with external counsel as needed.
A Bachelor of Laws and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia are required.
Contract management and legal support to internal departments (Real Estate Management, Marketing, Digital & IT, Facilities, Convenience & Procurement, HR, Halal, Risk Management, TL&D) including drafting, reviewing, negotiating and attending internal/external meetings to finalize Memorandum of Renewal and Letters of Offer for existing tenancies, Vendor Service Agreements, Supply Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding.
Provide legal support to ensure healthy store opening pipeline - drafting, reviewing, negotiating and attending internal/external meetings to finalize tenancy and sale agreements.
Compliance Role - Contact point for Compliance reporting channel, Due Diligence Portal, Compliance Awareness Program, Declaration of Compliance to Standard of Business Conduct & Conflict of Interest, Compliance Risk Management program and Personal Data Protection, Social Media policy.
Legal Document Management - Owner of all contracts database in the Company, liaising with internal departments on contracts related issues and ensuring good governance practice for contracts entered by the Company.
Provide general legal advice and analysis (verbal or written) as and when requested, including liaising with external and global counsels on legal issues related to the company;
Assist in managing court litigation, social media defamation and 3rd party claims;
Assist in corporate secretarial administration including preparing company resolutions, statutory reports and other related corporate requirements;
Assist in intellectual property rights related matters.
Requirements
Possess a Bachelor of Laws degree from recognized institutions.
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
