Job Description:
Position 1: Legal Associate (Litigation)
Responsibilities:
- Handling civil and commercial litigation matters
- Drafting pleadings, legal opinions, and submissions
- Attending case managements, hearings, and trials
- Working closely with the litigation team and clients
Position 2: Litigation Clerk
Responsibilities:
- Assisting lawyers with court documentation, filing, and cause papers
- Managing timelines and court dates
- Liaising with courts and clients
- Performing administrative and clerical duties related to litigation matters
Position 3: Interns / Pupils in Chambers (litigation & conveyancing)
Responsibilities (litigation) :
- Assist in legal research and drafting of pleadings, affidavits, and other court documents
- Attend case management, court hearings and trials alongside lawyers
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Support lawyers in trial preparation and court processes
- Perform administrative tasks related to case as needed
Responsibilities (conveyancing):
- Assist lawyers in handling sale and purchase transactions, sub-sale matters, and developer projects.
- Prepare and review legal documents including sale and purchase agreements, loan agreements, and other conveyancing instruments.
- Liaise with clients, bankers, agents, developers, and government authorities to ensure smooth progress of files.
- Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Attend to execution of documents and follow up on stamping, registration, and perfection of transfer and charge.
- Maintain accurate documentation and proper file management.
- Support the team in day-to-day conveyancing tasks and administrative duties.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Position 1: Legal Associate (Litigation)
Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in litigation
- Strong legal research and drafting skills
- Court-going experience preferred
- Committed, proactive, and a team player
Position 2: Litigation Clerk
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in litigation clerical work
- Familiarity with e-filing systems
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Responsible, organized, and able to work independently
Position 3: Pupil in Chambers
Requirements:
- Law graduate who has completed CLP or BPTC
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Good research and writing skills
- Responsible, eager to learn, and proactive
- Positive attitude and a genuine interest in litigation or conveyancing
