Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Banking Litigation Associate to join our dynamic litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in handling banking and financial disputes, with a strong foundation in litigation procedures and court practices in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and conduct litigation files involving banking and financial institutions, including recovery actions, foreclosure proceedings, and insolvency matters.
• Draft and review pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, case managements, and trials.
• Liaise with clients, counsel, and relevant authorities.
• Provide legal opinions and strategic advice on litigation matters.

Requirements:

• LL.B (Hons) from a recognised university and admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in banking litigation.
• Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience working with financial institutions or representing banks.
• Familiarity with insolvency and restructuring matters.
