Job Description:
1) Conduct legal research and provide analysis to partners
and clients
• You will be responsible for conducting legal research on various issues related to
litigation cases and analysing the results to provide informed advice and/or
recommendations to partners and clients.
2) Draft legal documents
• You will be responsible for drafting various legal documents and cause papers
that are necessary for the dispute resolution process or financial crimes and
asset recovery process.
3) Participate in all aspects of the litigation process, including witness preparation and
trial preparation
• You will be involved in all aspects of the litigation process, including attending
mentions, case managements, preparing for trial, witness preparation, and
attending court hearings. You must have a deep understanding of the legal
issues involved in the case and be able to represent the Firm’s clients effectively
in court.
4) Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop litigation strategy
• You will work collaboratively with partners and other associates to develop
effective litigation strategies. You will provide input on legal issues and provide
recommendations for the best course of action for the case.
5) Manage and delegate tasks to junior associates and support staff
• You will manage and delegate tasks to junior associates, trainee associates and
support staff, providing guidance and ensuring that work is completed on time
and to a high standard.
6) Attend and participate in client meetings, calls, and negotiations
• You will attend client meetings, calls, and negotiations, and provide legal advice
and recommendations to clients. You must be able to communicate effectively
with clients and provide sound legal advice.
7) File Management
• Ensure that each file handled is managed efficiently and effectively and in
accordance with the firm’s standard operating procedure.
• You will be handling files together with other junior and senior legal associates
and must also be able to handle and manage files independently.
8) Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients
• You will develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring that
their needs are met and that they receive high-quality legal services. This may
include responding to client inquiries and providing updates on the status of the
case.
9) Continuously learn and develop knowledge and skills in relevant areas of law
• You will continuously learn and develop your knowledge and skills in relevant
areas of law to ensure that you can provide the best possible legal services to
clients. This may include attending legal seminars and workshops, keeping up to
date with changes in the law, and participating in professional development
activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
2. 4 to 6 Years Working Experience in Civil Litigation Matters.
3. Experience in Criminal Litigation Matters is an advantage but not a requirement.
4. Strong work ethics.
5. Good communication skills and good attitude.
6. Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
7. Able to work independently and in a team.
