About the role

We seek a talented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team at Daljit Singh Partnership in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a full-time Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal professionals and contributing to the smooth operations of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

To handle litigation and criminal matters including contentious and non-contentious matters.

To attend case managements, hearings, and trials, and preparing and drafting cause papers.

Liaising with clients, courts, and other external parties to ensure efficient communication and follow-up

Always ensure that there is a high level of confidentiality in the affairs of the Firm.

Handling clients, including providing and preparing legal opinions related to litigation matters.

Assisting with the preparation of legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and court filings.

Providing general office support as needed to contribute to the overall success of the firm.

Represent clients in courts.

Provide legal advice to clients on various areas of laws.

Manage client relationships and provide proactive legal advice.

Stay updated on relevant legal developments and court practice

What we're looking for

LL.B or equivalent degree from a recognized university

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a law firm or legal department

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with legal software and databases

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work

A collaborative and proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team's success

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

High level of professionalism and integrity.
