Role Overview

The Legal Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the legal department by ensuring the highest level of protection for the company’s legal interests. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of legal processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.
  • Handle the registration, monitoring, and management of trademarks, including conducting preliminary searches and filing applications.
  • Ensure timely renewals and responses to trademark office actions, maintaining the company’s trademark portfolio.
  • Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices to support the legal team’s work on contracts, IP, and copyright matters.
  • Support case development by maintaining communication with involved parties, scheduling depositions, preparing legal documents (summonses, subpoenas, complaints), handling discovery requests and responses, and generating status reports.
  • Ensure all legal records are kept up to date and filed correctly, both physically and digitally.

Qualifications

  • At least Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Law or equivalent.
  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, and copyright protection.
  • Working experience in law firms will be an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
