We invite applications for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer within the School of Engineering at Sunway University. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to the teaching, research, and service activities of the School, providing academic leadership and fostering excellence in both student learning and scholarly output.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching
   • Design, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching across undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes.
   • Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student learning.
   • Lead curriculum development, review, and enhancement initiatives.
   • Engage in continuous improvement of teaching practices through innovation and reflection.
   • Contribute to programme accreditation and quality assurance processes.
2. Research
   • Conduct and disseminate high-quality, peer-reviewed research within your area of expertise.
   • Secure external research funding to support your scholarly activity.
   • Supervise research students at postgraduate (Masters and Doctoral) level.
   • Participate in collaborative research projects, both internally and externally.
   • Promote your research and contribute to the University's research profile and reputation.
3. Service and Leadership
   • Participate actively in the academic governance of the School, Faculty, and University through committee membership and working groups.
   • Take on academic leadership roles such as Programme Leader or Committee Chair, as required.
   • Contribute to student support and mentoring.
   • Assist in the planning and delivery of University events including open days, outreach initiatives, and engagement with industry and academic partners.
   • Support the academic and professional development of junior colleagues.

Requirements

• A Doctoral Degree in Engineering.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Professional Engineer (PEng) is an additional advantage.
• Teaching/Research experience in the field of Solid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Automotive, Renewable energy, Manufacturing.
• A strong record of research output, with evidence of peer-reviewed publications and external funding.
• Experience in academic leadership or curriculum development is desirable.
• A commitment to collegiality, collaboration with excellent interpersonal skills.
