With the endorsement of the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, MILA University underwent a name change in 2023. As part of our mission to establish a premier engineering and computing institution in Asia, MILA University is actively seeking applications for teaching positions within the School of Engineering and Computing.

We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in the following area:

• Computer Science (Department of Computing)

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, enhancement, and quality assurance in the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
• Develop and deliver innovative teaching, learning and assessment experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Conduct active research, maintaining an active record of high-quality Scopus-indexed publications, conference presentations and grants secured.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a research strategy aligned with the research priorities.
• Contribute to the development of strong collaborations with other universities and with government, industry and/or society to drive research impact and educational excellence.
• Contribute to the management of education, research and/or administration in the school, including coaching, mentorship, leadership and effective performance management.
• Contribute to the administration tasks of the school/department.

Job Requirements

• A Doctoral degree AND a Master’s degree in related fields AND a Bachelor’s degree in Computing (Computer Science / Information Technology).
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Computing or related fields with at least five (5) years of teaching experience and research/project consultation/industry experience.
• Strong knowledge in teaching diverse computer science courses.
• Must be able to create new syllabi and teach computer science courses with specialization in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security and Cloud Computing.
• Familiar with Python/ CSS/ PHP/ HTML/ Java/ C++ / C programming languages.
• Active in scholarly activities in Scopus-indexed peer-reviewed journal publications with a Google h-index of at least 3 is an added advantage.
• Familiar with MQA documentation for computing and accreditation processes is an added advantage.
• Familiar with Outcome Based Education (OBE) requirements is an added advantage.
• Having supervision experience as main supervisor for completed PhD or Master’s students in computer science is a strong advantage.
• Responsible, with good work ethics, a helpful nature, and a teamwork-oriented mindset is required.
• Ability to report for duty by September 2025.
