Job description

Lecturer - School of Nursing and Allied Health

Responsible for undertaking teaching, research, scholarly activities, and academic development.

Provide direction, leadership, and day-to-day management of educational activities.

Conduct clinical assessment /practical examination or Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) when due.

Participate in continuous nursing education in the hospital setting.

Perform any other tasks as assigned from time to time.

Monitor student report progress in terms of academic performance and attendance.

Set examination papers while maintaining high standards of quality.

Provide student support activities such as tutorials, mentoring, and educational counselling sessions.

Participate in curriculum review and the accreditation process.

Observe nursing students during clinical postings if necessary.

Assist in marketing activities to promote nursing programs.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a Master of Nursing or a Bachelor of Nursing and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
  • Be a registered nurse with the Nursing Board of Malaysia.
  • Post-basic qualifications, preferably in renal, oncology, perioperative, critical care, and neonatal nursing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
  • Possession of a teaching methodology certificate is an added advantage.
