Lecturer (PhD) – Quantity Surveying Construction Management

Introduction

This role involves pursuing innovation and excellence in teaching, developing curricula, conducting learning activities, mentoring students, and engaging with industry and community activities relevant to Quantity Surveying and Construction Management.

1) Learning and Teaching

• Teach undergraduate units related to Quantity Surveying and Construction Management, including areas like Construction Technology, Measurements, and Professional Practice.
• Convene and deliver lectures, tutorials, and assessments, ensuring high-quality educational standards.
• Provide mentorship and professional development for students.
• Design and develop educational programs and policies within the faculty.
• Engage in research and community activities, providing leadership and fostering collaboration.

2) Research

• PhD in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• Proven research output and impact, with expertise in Quantity Surveying and industry-relevant software.
• Active involvement in professional organizations is preferred.
• Qualifications include an undergraduate degree, postgraduate qualifications, and professional registration if applicable.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

3) Leadership and Service

• Develop research portfolios, secure external funding, and publish scholarly work.
• Supervise postgraduate students and contribute to research training.
• Build research networks and collaborative projects.
