Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Developing and implementing new methods and technologies of teaching to reflect changes in research.
2. Designing, preparing, and developing teaching materials.
3. Delivering lectures, seminars, and tutorials.
4. Assessing students' coursework.
5. Setting, invigilating, and marking examinations.
6. Supporting students through pastoral and advisory roles.
7. Undertaking personal research projects and actively contributing to the institution's research profile.
8. Writing up research and preparing it for publication.
9. Supervising student research activities and internships.
10. Undertaking Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and participating in staff training activities.
11. Performing administrative tasks related to the department, such as student admissions, induction programs, involvement in committees and boards, and graduation ceremonies.
12. Managing and supervising staff.
13. Representing the institution at professional conferences and seminars, contributing to organization efforts.
14. Establishing collaborative links outside the institution with industrial, commercial, and public organizations.
15. Participating in and assisting the sales and marketing department during education fairs, roadshows, and other marketing activities.
16. Conducting relevant consultancy and training courses/programs for clients worldwide.
17. Developing, coordinating, and marketing maritime and related programs as determined by the organization.
18. Undertaking other relevant tasks, duties, and responsibilities as directed by management.
