Lecturer in Physiotherapy

As a Lecturer in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme, you will:

• Deliver engaging and evidence-based lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions aligned with the programme curriculum.
• Supervise students during clinical placements and coordinate with hospitals and rehabilitation centres.
• Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development.
• Develop teaching materials, learning resources, and assessments in compliance with MQA standards.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and programme review.
• Conduct and supervise student research projects and contribute to academic publications.
• Engage in departmental meetings, quality assurance activities, and staff development programmes.
• Promote student engagement through extracurricular and community outreach initiatives.
• Maintain strong industry networks to enhance graduate employability and clinical relevance.

Requirements:

• A Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy or a related field (PhD is an added advantage).
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in higher education OR 3 years of professional clinical practice in physiotherapy.
• Registered with the relevant professional body (e.g. Malaysian Physiotherapy Association or equivalent), will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about education, mentorship, and student success.
• Experience in curriculum design, academic research, and quality assurance is highly desirable.
