Job summary

Job description

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in various Electrical & Electronic subjects, such as Circuit Theory, Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics, Fundamental of Electrical & Electronics, Embedded system and applications, Electrical machine and instrumentation.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students and enhance their understanding of Electrical and Electronic Engineering concepts.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in their academic and practical work.
  • Develop and update course materials, including syllabus, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
  • Ensure that the curriculum aligns with industry standards and emerging trends in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Design and administer assessments, including exams, projects, and practical assignments.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades.
  • Student Support:
  • Mentor and advise students on academic and career-related matters.
  • Provide additional support to students who require extra help with their studies.
  • Professional Development:
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and incorporate them into teaching.
  • Participate in professional development activities, such as workshops, conferences, and training sessions.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and development of the Electric and Electronic Engineering program.
  • Involve in student recruitment

Requirements

The E&E Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the diploma level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for mentoring students. The lecturer must have obtained Graduate Engineer from BEM or possess the bachelor degree qualification (or above) that can enable him/her to obtain Graduate Engineer title. The lecturer will be expected to develop course materials, deliver engaging lectures, assess student performance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Electrical & Electronics curriculum.
