Sunway TES College (Johor Bahru) is seeking a Lecturer in Diploma in Accounting & Finance. The incumbent will play a key role in delivering lectures, ensure robust assessment and quality assurance, and mentor students towards strong academic and career outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach diploma-level Accounting and Finance modules, including preparation of lesson plans, learning materials, and online content.

Set and mark assessments, provide timely and constructive feedback to students, and participate in assessment moderation and results boards.

Ensure modules are aligned with Programme Learning Outcomes and contribute to continuous quality improvement (CQI), accreditation, and audit documentation (i.e., MQA, MOHE).

Provide academic advice and student support through clinics, at-risk interventions, project/ industry supervision, internships, and progression pathways (i.e., CFAB, ACCA, University of London).

Contribute to curriculum review, serve on academic review committees, and actively participate in staff development and academic quality assurance initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS / PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in tertiary education (Diploma/ Undergraduate).

Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (i.e., Canvas, Moodle) and Microsoft Office.

Experience in assessment design, Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices, CLO/ PLO alignment, CQI, and effective academic documentation.

Strong communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills.

Ability to teach across areas such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Corporate Finance/Financial Management, Taxation, Audit, Business Law, and Quantitative Methods.

Familiarity with accreditation requirements (MQA/ OBE), academic quality assurance, and digital pedagogy.

Professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW/ ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) and/or relevant industry experience will be an added advantage.
