Job Requirements:
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Candidates without a Master’s degree but with a strong teaching track record from reputable institutions may also be considered.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the target language (Japanese, French, or National Language) is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to effective and engaging teaching practices.
- Willingness to participate in departmental activities and university initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer, the appointee will be expected to:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in the assigned language courses, ensuring student engagement and achievement.
- Attain at least "above average" teaching evaluation scores, with a minimum of 3.0 out of 5.0 on the UTAR teaching scale.
- Participate in academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Centre or University, including student advising, curriculum support, and departmental meetings.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and remain current in the field.
- Contribute to the creation of learning materials, assessments, and teaching innovations that support student learning outcomes.
- Support institutional goals through involvement in university events, outreach programs, or other assigned duties.
