Job description

This role is to develop RS Lean Management culture at our Malaysia & Singapore sites by driving the execution of lean and continuous improvement projects. The role is to also train and coach employees, driving projects in the areas of operational excellence.

Your tasks
  1. Strategic orientation of lean management.
  2. Develop lean culture, as well as lean tools and methods.
  3. Advise managers in the introduction process.
  4. Develop processes and areas with foresight and proactively shape change.
  5. Conduct and facilitate Kaizen workshops (moderation, training, coaching).
  6. Drive Kaizen improvements.
  7. Coach and mentor teams and managers in implementing lean principles.
  8. Set lean impulses and encourage managers to recognize and eliminate waste.
  9. Create training plans and implement lean training for managers and employees.
  10. Conduct regular reviews to monitor progress of lean implementation and refine the approach.
  11. Collaborate with the company's Lean community to share best practices and synergies.
Your Qualifications
  • Degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in lean implementation and process optimization.
  • Enthusiasm for Lean principles, continuous improvement, and pursuit of excellence.
  • Experience working across operational and managerial levels.
  • Strong communication and moderation skills with confidence.
  • Excellent training and presentation skills to convey Lean concepts clearly.
  • Proactive and self-motivated to advance projects independently.
  • Experience with lean methods such as Kaizen workshops, 5S, value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, and shop floor management.
  • Six Sigma experience in manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel for training and engagement with the lean community.
