  • Develop design philosophies, engineering specifications, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, equipment sizing, and calculations; validate deliverables with the Lead Engineer.
  • Support senior engineers in drafting and consolidating project documents such as philosophies and study reports.
  • Independently prepare technical reports including process simulation basis, heat and material balances, process control descriptions, utility summaries, line lists, set point lists, safe charts, and process cause & effect diagrams.
  • Analyse and resolve basic engineering issues by interpreting data, applying experience, precedents, and professional references.
  • Participate in safety and stakeholder meetings; communicate process systems and close observations efficiently.
  • Review stakeholder documents and address interface and execution issues, escalating where necessary to maintain project progress.
  • Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases, troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of site issues, providing off-site advice if needed.
  • Capture lessons learned within the functional area and close out related actions in the project management system.
  • Perform preliminary PSV set pressure, line sizing, and settle-out calculations following design and alarm set point requirements.
  • Verify vendor information and perform calculations (e.g., scrubber level settings, strainer pressure drops) to ensure compliance with design.
  • Review and mark up general arrangement drawings for discrepancies in vessel and exchanger nozzle allocations.
  • Assist in technical bid evaluations for project packages under supervision of the Lead Engineer, ensuring vendor compliance with technical and delivery requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years' process engineering experience related to hull packages for offshore facilities or crude carriers (for degree holders).
  • Minimum 6 years' relevant experience for master's degree holders.
  • At least 1 to 2 years' experience working in a shipyard environment.
  • Proven knowledge of applicable industry and classification standards.
