Job summary

TE Connectivity Manufacturing Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations at the Perai Plant in Penang. You will ensure production targets are met with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency, while leading production teams and driving continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, and familiarity with lean practices. Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage to communicate

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to meet targets with focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate daily production activities to achieve output and quality goals.
• Monitor production schedules, resources and manpower allocation for smooth operations.
• Enforce safety and compliance standards within the production area.
• Lead, coach and develop production operators and line leaders for improved performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and maintenance teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare and review production reports with accurate data tracking and documentation.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Manage 200 - 300 headcount per shift in the production.
