Job summary

Flex in Perai, Penang, is looking for an Associate Production Supervisor to oversee multiple production lines in a highly technical environment. You will lead a team of engineers and operators to meet quality, cost and delivery targets while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will review daily plant performance, troubleshoot issues, coach staff, and collaborate with qualified engineers on improvement projects and process development to drive efficiencies and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in production/manufacturing.
• At least 6 years of operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of multiple processes/lines in a highly technical environment.
• Lead a team of engineers and officers to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness targets.
• Review plant performance daily and advise on changes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot operational problems and coach operators to improve performance.
• Collaborate with engineers on project proposals for improvements and changes.
• Provide technical/operational guidance to project teams.
• Coordinate with maintenance as the principal interface when needed.
• Train and coach junior operators and junior team leaders.
• Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and material supply.
• Participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
• Assist in department budgeting and manage expenses.
• Ensure safety standards and training across manufacturing personnel.

Education
