Job summary

Flextronics Technology (Penang) Sdn Bhd seeks an Associate Production Supervisor to oversee multiple production lines in a highly technical setting and drive performance.

You will lead engineers and operators, review performance, troubleshoot issues, coach staff, and contribute to process improvements and cost savings while upholding safety standards.

Based in Perai / Batu Kawan, Penang, the role requires a strong manufacturing background and leadership focus to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in production/manufacturing.
• 6 years of operations experience.
• Ability to lead a team of engineers and operators.
• Commitment to quality, cost, delivery and safety.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment.
• Leads a team comprising engineers and officers to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements.
• Reviews daily plant operating performance and advises on changes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoots operational problems and coaches operators to improve performance.
• Participates in process development and cost improvement projects.
• Assists in department budget planning and manages department expenses.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment and ensures training and compliance with safety guidelines.
• Acts as interface between operations and maintenance when needed.
• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and material supply.
